I just made a nice find in FastStone Photo Resizer Version 2.4. None of my image editing applications seemed to do a batch resize fast and easy so I went looking and found this.

It’s really hard to keep up with what Google is doing these days. For those that use the Google Toolbar you now have the option of using their Web History.

Most everybody is aware of the pop-ups that you can get when you visit a web site. Internet Explorer 7.0 and Firefox 2.0 do a pretty good job of blocking most of those. To test your browser you can go to PopupTest. I did and found IE let 3 slip through, and Firefox failed to (more…)
There are hundreds of social bookmarking sites now. Some are very well known like del.icio.us and Digg, but others are obscure start ups.

This is one of those buyer beware posts. On 03/07/2007 I was shopping for satellite TV and looked over the deals on the internet, and wound up on the DIRECTV web site. Here is a screen shot of part of what caught my eye. Now take a good look at the light grey text at the bottom. That’s the part I failed to see, and so did others that I showed it to.
Here is where the ad is now, but it was up toward the front of the site when I first saw it.
Now I am thinking that the deal me and the sales lady are discussing was for a $39.99 package. She tells me at the end that I’ll get a $10.00 discount for 12 months and I’m thinking my bill would be $29.99. (more…)
